West Taylor, Equine Behavior Expert and Owner of Wild West Mustang Ranch, to Host a Two-Day Science-Based Horsemanship Clinic at Apache Springs Ranch
Day One: Brainwork & Communication
The first day will be dedicated to in-hand brainwork, where participants will work directly with their horses under West’s guidance. Learn to read and interpret your horse’s body language, recognize scientific signs of stress and anxiety, and discover how to create calmness and safety through clear communication. West will demonstrate techniques and provide hands-on instruction to help participants establish boundaries, foster safety, and build a deeper connection with their horses.
Day TWO: Under saddle - building connection and calmness through obstacles
On the second day of the Science-Based Horsemanship clinic, participants will take the lessons learned on the ground and transfer them into the saddle.
The focus will be on maintaining the clear communication, safety, and connection established during groundwork while riding. Each participant will navigate their horse through various obstacles, learning how to manage pressure and challenges from the saddle.
